The Institute received the first CBI&P Trophy in 1986 for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Research and Development. The institute also received CBI&P - IRPO-HI-TECH-87 award for the exhibition set up at Pragati Maidan New Delhi.The Research Personnels of the Institute have received the following prestigious awards :

•  HYDROSEM Award of the Institution of Engineers(India), U. P. State Centre
